Verdeja 2 SCW Tank
I'm kinda bummed that I cant upgrade at least one of my already existing tanks to the reward tank. I like to customize and role play with my army a lot as to make the campaign feel more personal and its a real shame that my custom named elite-ish tank cant have the reward tank as it's equipment. If the devs are seeing this then can you please give us the option to choose whether to spawn a new unit for the reward tank or upgrade one of the existing units to the Verdeja 2. Maybe you can add a specific spot for a unit go to and automacilly upgrade to the Verdeja Tank like in US Corps 42 in PC1 where you were instructed to move two infantry to a specific spot to upgrade into rangers.

Why not transfer your command from existing tank to new gift tank? You can reassign heroes, and reassign the unit name too. Eventually the Verdeja will become obsolete, and instead of upgrading it to a new tank (and losing the Verdeja forever), some players will probably want to just retire it into their reserve, to keep as a trophy/keepsake.

You cant transfer experience and awards and I mainly used 2 or 3 units for killing off enemies. There's also the roleplaying part when looking at their history (unit kills and the date when the unit was made) but I guess that cant be helped. And Im also sure that there will be future special units like this and they will all start as rookies and thats a bad thing since experience is really important when playing Generalissimus.

You get it on mission Early Madrid and can customize it the battle after. Plenty of time to max it out with XP with the right OS and heroes.

The alternative would be to make it a Prototype unit, with X number of parts. Then you could upgrade an existing unit but would be limited by the number of parts available.

Understood ..... although its still a bummer if I have to do this for every other special unit in the next several campaigns after this one. That is what really bothers me knowing that this wont probably be a one time thing. I also would rather not use the console to make it a prototype unit as it disables achievements and Im kinda iffy on that idea but yeah, Im planning on just using it for this specific campaign and will probably put it in reserves after SCW for roleplay reasons.

I dunno if I like the idea of being able to morph a unit to a different unit. Seems like it could cause problems with so many class restrictions. What if an infantry unit steps on the upgrade hex?

How does anyone even know they want to upgrade X unit into something unique? They won't be able to preview the stats anywhere, because they can't normally preview it in any buy menu location.

So many extra problems would need to be solved. Not impossible, just unlikely.
