This game constantly crashes
This game released well. It now sucks and constantly crashes. I have completely lost confidence in this company. This has completely ruined what was a fun game!!!

Yeah... I played 1 tutorial mission and set it aside for a few weeks. It won't even launch now. I'm going to see if I can get a refund and make a note to try and buy it in another year or two to see if things settle down.

I am having the same issue. Game was running fine and now crash all the time. The campaign map of Sicily even shows no topography now. Please roll us back to before the update!

If you are using Geforce video card, update driver. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

I also used Geforce Experience (normally I would not, as it is intrusive, but this game was crashing like crazy for me as well) these two updates cleared all crashes with zero since.

To be clear, my issue was with Unreal engine and my video card, YMMV.

In 200+ hours of play I have had 1 crash so I doubt it is the game causing it. I would check your setup.

We have not detected any spike of previously unknown crashes after the release of 1.1.0. However, legacy version 1.0.9 is available for anyone who wants to use it. In Steam app, open game's properties, go to BETAS tab and choose 1.0.9 from the combo box.

I have a GeForce GTX 1060. No problems at all.

I also experienced constant chashes due to the Unreal engine. Running the game in a not-maximized window solved the issue completely.

It could be an overheating issue on certain cards. GTX 1060 is a really cool running card so it might not be as bad on that, whilst GTX 1070 and 1660ti tend to run hotter, as well as certain AMD cards. Some cards shut down as a safety measure when they reach a certain temperature and this may be whats triggering the crashes.

On my GTX 1660 ti the card can get really hot for this game and has really high core usage if I run it on maximum settings,1080p with v-sync on. It gets noisy too, but lowering most the settings to high and forcing frame rate down to 50fps helps a lot to make temperature more managable. And I think it's because I have taken these measures that I don't get any crashes.

Funnily enough i've seen this happen with (but not exclusively on) a few other UE4 engine games, like the shooter, Eternal Crusade and a strategy game called Death Watch. Funnily enough both are 40k games but that's just a coincidence. As other 40k games like Battlefleet gothic that use UE4 engine run fine with temperature, most of them do. Ark Survival, Conan Exiles I could go on, don't give me temperature issues.

But the main symptom when i do get the issue tends to be a very high gpu core usage, like at about 90 to 99 percent, whilst usually the core gpu usage is around 60's to high 70's percentages.

I hope it can be addressed so I can go on to play panzer corp 2 at maximum and at 60fps because it looks really nice, when i set it to that, but the temp goes a bit a haywire.

I am now back in full screen mode as I discovered that turning the Nvidia in-game utilities off solved the crashing issue completely. Not a single crash since then.

I never had any issues with Panzer Corps I.
I have not yet been able to play PC.II.
At first, the game wouldn't save.
Then, it would save the unit placements - but not the terrain.
Now, I can't even start the game because the Unreal Engine kept CTD.
My system is pretty good, and I have no trouble running any other program.
My drivers are up-to-date.
And I have tried the Legacy version. The game still crashes on start-up.

Very disappointing.

after the last update crashes are much less. Acts more like original version. Most crashes occur at load screen or selecting new game etc not while playing. I hope DLC's are more stable.
