Flammpanzer question

First off, Love the game. CANT WAIT FOR THE GRAND CAMPAIGN!! But I'm enjoying the base game.

Flammpanzer - it says bunker killer, but I took it against a Soviet strongpoint, and it predicted 4 losses for me to 1 for them? Am i using it wrong?

Bunker killer just adds 5 to the attack value, and Flammpanzers don't have a stellar hard attack.

I've checked it quickly, and Flammpanzer does get +5 attack bonus against strongpoint. The problem is, even with this bonus strongpoint is much stronger. So no, you are not doing anything wrong. I'd say that this trait is slightly misleading on this unit.

So are they best for entrenched infantry and city infantry? Or wounded strongpoints?

The Flammpanzer and other vehicles with flamethrowers ignore entrenchment and have strong soft attacks, so they're good for attacking fortified infantry positions. You'll want to suppress the enemy first, though, because most of them have little or no close defence and will take losses if the enemy is allowed to fire back. That said, a Flammpanzer or equivalent with steamroller, double attack and no retaliation is one of the cheesiest units in the game.

Neither. I would suggest a relook into the ability as it has remained unchanged from PC1 while the attack and defense numbers have ballooned immensely.

They work pretty well vs Russian inf in trenches... and in close terrain, IF you've softened them up first (ignores entrenchment).

Path is correct, some hero traits make the game very unbalanced, try a fighter with double move, double attack and faster rebase, you literally destroy enemy aircraft, and if you can get steamroller from a hero with overrun early.....

Artillery and Air Attack a bunker first, THEN use Pioneers, Flamm Tanks ect to attack.
