Mac and Steam Workshop
I would like to suggest the following improvements to the game development.

First, make it MAC OS compatible. Many games now are both Window and Mac compatible. PC1 was made Mac compatible so that code could possible be used for PC2 version. Bought all old Windows versions but was barred from playing game when switched to all MAC OS household and business. Could only get back to, IMHO, greatest game for me of all time, until PC1 become Mac compatible. Slitherine makes great games but virtually none in MAC OS and thus am unable to buy them. I have bought all Slitherine products that are Mac OS native.

Second, make game Steam Workshop compatible. PLEASE! Because of Mac OS, am prevented from using all the mods for game. And, commentators please don't point out use of virtual machine or Parallels. Does not run and takes up too much space, and, yes inconvenient to run programs not in Mac OS native mode.

We develop the game in cross-platform fashion, so if Slitherine give us a green light for Mac version, we will make it. We are also willing to add Steam Workshop support, but at this point I'm not 100% sure when this will be available (upon the release or later in a patch).

I agree with the above-really need this game for Mac. Best wargame ever.

My money there will be no workshop. Slitherine said "maybe, someday, we have no time right by now ..." with panzercorps 1.

Remember that Panzer Corps released on Steam several years after its original release. And at that time it already had a big and active modding community which was based on Slitherine site and did not want to go anywhere else.

I suppose if macOS is not supported I'll have to wait until it's out on iOS.

PzC2 will not be coming out on the Mac.
The publisher [Slitherline] is POed with Apple over dropping 32 bit support [and other such things] and will not be porting anything to the Mac for a while if ever.

Note: The Developer. [Flashback Games] would love to port it to the Mac but it is not their decision.

So the main hope for PzC2 on the Mac is Crossover20. [Out this summer?].
But even then it only play on a 'Pro' model. As a separate video card is required.
GOG has a relationship with Crossover and may come out with a port, but one would have to talk with them about it.

Note2: I have PzC1 running on my Mac with full modding. Works with Mohave but not Catalina.
I expect to have both PzC1 and PzC2 running on Catalina, but it may take a year.
I run PC2 using Parallels on my Mac.

You said the publisher is POed with apple for dropping 32 bit support and will not port PzC2 to the Mac, but the system requirements for PzC2 call for 64 bit.

It's because a lot of games in Slitherines catalog is 32bit.

PzC1 is 32 bit. Catalina is 64 bit ONLY.
PzC1 does not play on MacOs Catalina.
Mac players are upset. Slitherline is upset.
They feel that Apple is not developer friendly.

UnrealEngine is Mac compatible, the dev would like to port to Mac.
The publisher in not interested in paying for a port to Mac.
It is not clear if Ipad is off the table or not.
I was running PC2 using Parallels. Oddly, is was running better under Windows 7 than 10. After the last PC2 update, the graphics are scattered. I have a 2013 trash can running Mojave with a Firepro D300.

There can't be too many publishers who are still working in 32bit are there?

I didn't say PzC1. I said PzC2. And again it says that on PzC2, that it requires a 64 bit system. So again. they are POed at apple for dropping 32 bit while this game is 64 bit? Sounds like there is something else going on.
