Help with Arena Events Expert C Gold and Legendary B Silver?

For Expert C Gold I've been able to get the Heart down to around 800 hull but I always get zombified or run out of time immediately after. And for Legendary B Silver it seems like the enemy brute is substantially more powerful than your brute and you can't outrun it, so you get locked into an unwinnable brawl. Any tips for either event?

Ok so after about ten more tries, I noticed that the duration before being transformed into a zombie is rather random. By putting my ship on the heart and firing continuously, after 3 or 4 tries I destroyed the heart.

so after being stuck on this fight for a long time I have finally figured out the strategy which is fairly easily reproduced. The key strategy to realize is that your cannons do a lot more damage up close but you also take a lot more damage up close. When your reactor is fully charged get in very close and blast away until your reactor is empty. Then head away from the base and keep the zombie cloud off of you until your reactor is 3/4 full then start heading back in and blast away at point blank. Repeat this process while constantly watching your reactor and the zombie cloud on top of you:) Hope this helps!

Also when fighting the brute that out powers you the trick is to take advantage of all your armor slots. You need to rotate your ship around while fighting him (you have turrets so you can still target him with guns) and make sure each side of your armor takes as much damage as it can before rotating further.

Hi dude, can you help me with this? As my Brute turns so slow, and i cannot turn and fire at the same time, as you turn with the mouse, right? All I was able to do, is get rid of the enemy brute's shield, before getting destroyed... :(
