What do you think about Biped 2? Maybe a mobile version of the game with cross-platform play? What would you like to see there at the next game? Share your thoughts here

I just want to say that I love Biped and have played it multiple times with different people. Congratulations on making an excellent coop game.

I am not so sure it would work well on mobile as the controls are difficult enough as they are and removing that would probably change the game for the worse. As long as controlling the game remains the same on PC and the game isn't downgraded for the sake of mobile users, I think it is sounds like a fine idea. Hard to say whether it is worth the development time though. I certainly won't play it on mobile, but many others might.

What I would like to see in the next game: more levels with unique mechanics and a little more polish for the pro levels. The pro levels aren't all that visually interesting despite being a very large chunk of the games levels.

Keep up the good work. Look forward to playing it
I'm up for the mobile version of the game with cross - platform idea. :cleanseal: As for the biped 2;
+ more unique mechanics (I'd like to see platform elements with souls. Such as, if there is a wind blowing, I'd like to see a giant using fan or something),
+ interesting story mode,
+ more polish would be nice.
If I am being completely honest, I think there is still a lot of potential for expanding the current Biped as opposed to a brand new Biped 2. It would be great to see more content for the community workshop. Are the community tools good? Is it easy to make a level? I have not seen any real Steam workshop content, but Biped is a game that could have a very flourishing player base if the community content was there.

Moreover, I think if you explore any major feature additions in a sequel, it might be something like 4 players. One might think of all 4 players as biped characters, but perhaps some of the players are bipeds and other characters play as non-bipeds—maybe level controls or something else? Just a thought inspired by the old NES game Gyromite :-)
Don't care about mobile. Care about the editor to which two things are lacking: I do not think the levels can be uploaded to the Steam workshop currently (at least not easily) and downloaded from the workshop easily. For the download part just check how easy it is to get levels from Hat in Time. Perhaps more guidance is necessary for the upload part I don't know. The editor could also be made simpler with a grid to align elements, that's our main difficulty when we play around with making levels. Also more categorization of elements since there are a lot.

I'll +1 the above comment, you could already add more levels. Show us how good workshop levels can be.

Thanks for your comments, really much appreciated.

As for the WorkShop - we didn't stop working on it and we plan to update it in future, it just requires some time to make it easier and more user-friendly.
I'd like to see 2-4 player co-op!
So, me and my girlfriend we played Biped. It was really fun the things that we would like to see in the new game are:
-Maybe a part where you use hands instead of legs
-more interaction between the two players
-more interesting mechanics
An arena battle mode or football or other minigames could be fun. We had a few times where we had that kind of fun in normal levels but a proper mode would be better. Battles are basically about pushing the other robot over the edge or in pits. Football is easy to imagine, you could take the ball and move it around, or you could kick it, with the goal being of putting it in the other's goal. There's probably other fun modes that could be thought of like some kind of racing and whatnot.
I absolutely adored Biped, but I really wish the map-making tools were better so that the community could actually produce some viable co-op maps. My only complaint was that the game was too short, and that's a compliment! I really do think the community could open up some great things, especially if modding support becomes a thing, so you can import custom assets. There is still so much creative level-design potential, I think there are a lot more possibilities even with the current available assets, but unfortunately, the tools to make such things were not exactly user-friendly. Especially with the workshop, I think so many cool things could be done there, especially with a dedicated community, but I see a level-editor with patchy workshop support and it doesn't exactly make it easy to contribute. I want this game to become even better than it already was, but I think it's a hard sell in its current state. As I understand, this is still a work-in-progress, but I really think that is the hurdle needed to push this game to that next step.

Other possible ideas include more creative achievements, such as beating a certain level in a non-intended way, or without using X, etc. I recall my buddy and I had an absolute blast breaking the conveyor belt puzzles (forgive me, it's been a long time, so I might be misremembering some details) by managing to jump onto them using some tricky movement, and honestly, it felt like a really new creative way to play. Sometimes the base solution would be too easy, so we created our own challenges and really tried to play with the physics as much as possible.

Perhaps consider more methods of movement, because I think that's one of the most interesting things about how Biped plays. Powerups to boost you indiscriminately, or maybe spike boots that if you click the sticks in it locks you in place, a jetboot on each foot controlled by the controller triggers. Something to mix up the already fun movement of the game.

I feel like this game genuinely has a lot of potential and I want to see what creative things can come out of it, and if there is a Biped 2 coming, I am all for it.
I really enjoyed playing Biped with my Partner, but we both think that we would like more story level and less challenge level. The enviroment is so cutee we need more of that.
Please let Biped 2 be PC and Console again!! Mobile is great but it often doesn't play well with console or pc.

I would really love a largely expanded story with some new fun challenge stages! Can we get a feminine Biped with lashes? Boss fights are definitely a must...

I would look towards Sackboy A New Adventure for inspiration on design that focuses on fun whilst providing moderate challenge that anyone can get into.

Thanks for all your comments!
biped 2 would be amazing but i'd rather not see it get mobile first treatment
Biped is a genre piece. I love this game very much, and first and foremost would like the new game to play in the same way on PC. Personally I don`t care for a mobile version, but i think a similar game could work there, but with controls somehow simplified or changed altogether. Best of luck!:steamhappy:
Keep the strength of the first version.
- Biped 2 needs more levels the first one is way to short.
- Map editor with steam workshop
- Colorblind mode
