There is a slight difference in the game between the two and i suggest you try to play with both to see how you like it. The difference being the Mana linking (spending of mana on an object to force it to do ... stuff)
With the mouse and keyboard you can only mana link with one thing and one thing only. All of the mana you spend goes into that one thing and it is a 1:1 ratio (unless improved by in game stuff)
With a controller you can only mana link an area and dont need to be as precise with the targeting. The mana you use goes evenly into the area (though different items need different amounts of mana) and you have a better than 1:1 ratio to start with (which can be improved in game)
I tried a bit of both, and I'm finding them both pretty clunky unfortunately lol. I want to say Mouse and Keyboard are a little less frustrating so I'll keep with that for now and see how it goes.
It's soooo tedious to do that all manually.
Or am I missing something?
