Fire salt not working as fuel

I have the upgraded furnace and mining level 3 but I still cant smelt my mythical and moon ore with fire salt as fuel. Any suggestions?

there is always a chance to fail. equip ring of forging to get a higher chance to turn it into bars. i forgot where you can get it though.

Have you charged your furnace by mana-linking it? Upgraded furnace needs to be charged.

Edit: Oh right, there is that pesky chance to fail... aqua's correct. If you're not playing a Val (like I was on my normal mode run), then you'll want the skill (don't remember the name because I never use it) and items to boost your chances.

On my hard mode playthroughs, I kind of cheat slightly by sending my materials through the hard mode box to a Val mule character who exists just to smelt ore. So, in both cases I never really bothered with the whole forging chance thing.

Thank you both for your help. Mana linking with the furnace fixed my problem! I have another question if you dont mine me asking. How do you enter the manor in the void without being struck by lightning?

If you're not friends with Sennia, become friends with her. If you're already her friend, "key item."

You can also run through and survive it IF you have a high level of spell shield, enough mana, some form of rapid mana regen, and move very quickly. (Note: this is not the intended method)

If you find Sennia at the crossroads randomly in the early morning she tells you that she is looking for a Death Blossom. So, just bring her one of those (don't need her to tell she's looking for one first).

going completely crazy with this sennia quest, I am completely uncapable to be asked by her about the quest, I am carryng death blossoms all around and i keep talking to her in front of the guild and in the entrance of the forest but nothing happends... those crossroads you mention, is that another place where she is usually hanging?

Just outside the forest (what you are most likely calling the entrance) is the crossroads. Where she is doesn't matter. Whether she asks for it beforehand doesn't matter.

Check your key items. Are you certain you don't already have Sennia's Herb (rose icon)?
If not maybe Vethergen changed or randomized it with a patch.

The full list of what she used to ask for in order is:

death blossom
blink shroom
monster soul
infinity shroom

You only needed to give her the first one to get her key item and assistance entering the manor. Giving her everything unlocks her house, her secret shop after 3 or so gifts, and secures her assistance on what is technically the final boss ...

I've been distracted by pathfinder lately. So, I have no idea if a patch changed things in her quest.
