Stuck at the Tree house, Help would be appreciated
I am essentially trapped in the tree house area after the initial tutorial, I assume I need to do all the Errands Ruby sends you in the mail. However I am stuck on the super slime one it says I should make slime vat but I don't have any copper bars and I've had zero luck getting copper from the various rock piles using mana link or the auto mine spell. All I've gotten is some sand and coal and that is about it. Have I missed something or have screwed myself some how to the point that I'd need to start a new game?

This seems to be the most common problem that new players experience.

There are specific nodes that carry copper. Without the skill called Miner II, you cannot mine them with your spells or mana link them. There are still other ways to obtain copper, but you want that skill anyways. So, you might as well start working towards it.

monsters drop copper crumbles all the time! If you don't feel like grinding up the skill tree to Mine II yet, go for combat in the Autumn Forest or at the Beach!

Well dang I'll have to work towards getting that atleast I have a vague idea which nodes now drop them I'll have to see if I can feasibly get up to miner 2. But considering how many harvest points I've spent already it might be painfully slow to grind.

Unfortunately the only monsters I can fight are 2 slimes in this small patch of forest to the south of my characters home the path to get any further blocked by nodes I can't do anything to. So I can't get into autumn forest or to a beach unless there is some hidden path out I can't even try to get to Midtown or whatever its called.

strategy hint: keep mining/woodcutting for the EXP then go for the combat in between spawns!
combat hint: Hopefully you are not just using your weapon, but also chimera for combat :)
I've found out I'm just a complete muppet I thought what I now realise is the entrance to the town isn't just a dead end wall I thought I was supposed to mine through those rocks. still struggling for copper as nearly every copper ore or crumb I have gotten has turned to ash. Do resources respawn or am I just going about depleting all the resources?

All resources can respawn in the game, depending on the tier of resource seems to determine how long it takes though. Also if you're still looking for Ores and such if you didn't already know since you made it to town to the west of the Clock tower is a path that takes you to the mines where there should be tons of resources waiting on you.
Thanks for the help so far I've seen the several chimera while wandering around but so far my attempts have failed I think. Is there more too it than just throwing the spell at them?

This is incorrect. You are thinking of Iron. Copper is minable right out the gate.

Yes, you can mana link the 'capture egg' to improve the chances of succesful capture

Ahh, is it? Was that always the case? Guess I'm going senile. My mistake.
