You may want to contact KnifeEdge's tech support number.
They are pretty good at dealing with stuff like this.
I have full admin rights on the local machine and launched Stream to run as admin.
I am using my InterLink Elite from RF 7.5. It is showing up correctly on my Devices List as an InterLink Elite.
I first installed RF9 through Steam with the Elite plugged in. Launched RF9, got the RF9 banner for a few seconds and then the Error.
Unplugged the Elite to test, launched RF9, it asked for a controller. Plugged Elite back in, relaunched got "Unexpected Error".
Uninstalled, reinstall this time with the Elite unplugged, result was the same problem.
Tried downloading the Installer directly so not launching through Steam. From https://www.realflight.com/dlrf9/index.php. Install and launch was run as admin. Same exact behavior. If Elite is unplugged it asks for a controller. If plugged in "Unexpected Error"
I am about 2 more tries from doing my first ever return on Steam. (frustration vent there)
The only thing not working is my InterLink Elite, that they specifically state is supported. (Elite is in working order, works fine on RF 7.5)
I have swapped a couple of Emails with Realflight support. They were stuck on the usual Tech Support line if everything but there product. (anti-virus, ect….)
For now I have created a profile on my Taranis just for Realflight. You can go out there a pick up a Real Radio for less money than they want for their usb controller.
had the same problem and found the solution: It is the USB 3.1 Port (in my case). Using an cheap USB 2.0 HUB and no it is working w/o problems *hurray*.
