RealFlight does not run in VR mode
I bought RealFlight to train RC in VR mode with my Oculus goggles. I may start any other VR game I have and it works fine. When I start RealFlight either from VR Lobby or from Steam ad choose "Start in VR" the app starts and only shows up on desktop working as a desktop app. I need this fixed, or I will have to file for a refund.

You can force it into VR mode via an arguement for the launcher.

You may want to check the Knifeedge forums.

Hello,

I have the same problem with realflight 9.

Is it possible to let us know how to force the Program int VR-Mode?

It would be pointless to search the Forums if somebody could just post the appropriate anwser here.

Regards,

Dirk

Since I don't remember off hand, you can search for it on the forums as well as I can.

Oh wait, I do remember:

-vr

and

-novr

Unfortunately, starting RF9 with either of the switches has no effect.

The Game still starts in a Window with the "Stars in the Sky" environment shown in the VR-goggles.

Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Have you tried starting a flight from the Desktop App?

I tried to start it from the commandline with the options -vr and -novr
Nothing happens.

What hardware are you using?
d-jake Jan 21, 2020 @ 9:59am
Mainboard: MSI Z170-A PRO
Processor: i7-6700k
RAM: 32 GB
Graphics: Geforce RTX 2070 Super
VR-Goggles: HP Reverb VR1000

All other VR-Applications run fine.
RF9 worked the first time it was used for like 3 or 4 hours.
When the machine was restarted the day after, it did not work in VR-Mode anymore.
The Game works without problems appart from the VR-issue.

I tried the repair option, did a reinstall, no changes.

The Version is : 9.00.022

Make sure you start RF from the Steam VR launcher... the VR 3D "room" with the programs listed on the wall.

Should that not work you may also want to try reinstalling the base HP VR software.

It seems that RF is not detecting the VR platform/software you are running but did previously.
That implies an update or some other software installation fouled things.
