I think this is something the devs need to address, maybe in a future patch before it gets out of hand.
Sometimes people don't have any particular problems or don't actually know how to put words on their problems but still want a human contact in form of a letter, just the reward of seeing the deer delivering messages. Just because you don't find it interesting doesn't mean it's not important for someone. At least that's easy to answer ahah
About the "Hug chain", it's something else because it doesn't wait any answer.. In the beginning it was made so that people know they're not alone. When you open one paperplane for the first time and see "hug" you kinda smile thinking about how this game is friendly, but like every chains, the "joy" it can gives fade away pretty quickly.
I think those hug chains would need to stop but I can't really see how the devs can make the difference between a "real" paperplane and a hug chain.
The "what's your favorite whatever" question isn't bothering to me as I can notice how much people feel lonely out there and having an answer to a message like this one may make you feel like someone is there, and a lot of people also like to answer these questions as they can share something they like and that makes them happy. I think
I love the sentiment of them. But because of this confusing branching behavior, we have taken steps to reduce them. We will be on the lookout for opportunities to provide players some, more constructive, way to indulge in chains.
make them special, open them up when you feel like it or just ask a question in your head and that open airplane to receive an answer. That's a cool why to treat them. And the best way to address this (hug chains I mean) - to ingnore them. And don't answer like this. it will come to an end eventually.
I also see nothing wrong with asking positive questions about fav 'thing' like food or movie. That's cool actually! No everyone want to fill themselves with everyday dramas and dealing with constant struggle (and if you are - that's fine too! To each their own!). That's the beauty of this 'game' - you vcan choose whatever you want to write and nobody should be forced to a specific blueprint. It's cool ot jhelp and answer hard and tough questions, but not everyone can and want to do that only, and we all need some light hearted topics to talk to about.
Keep the amazing work, devs! Love you much~
