I like Kosei, he's definitely different, though I feel considerably more sympathetic towards him than the other characters. I won't make any judgments for now since I'm sure he's got a girl waiting for him out there, but it does feel bad my boy don't get the attention he deserves.
Thus far I can safely say I don't really like Erilynn. Sure she's cute but while you could call a lot of her personality issues as coming from a sheltered life, her personality is still rather ♥♥♥♥♥y and not just in the entitled way. She's stubborn, bratty, refuses to learn new things, is treating the MC rather unpleasantly despite him having no fault or responsibility for what happened to her and is overall being a poor person. I disliked Kaori's standoffishness for similar reason, but I do believe she wasn't super rude until she was directly prodded at her core issues, but I may be a bit biased there after having played her route.
Her good traits aren't nearly enough for me to like her thus far. Again, the only thing going for her is that she's super beautiful, but as a rule of thumb I try to look past a girl's appearance to judge her personality and Erilynn's isn't very good. Right now she isn't worthy of a romance, and I'm hoping she will mellow out but most importantly she has to apologize for the humongous ♥♥♥♥ she's been, maybe I will give her a chance then.
Kira is probably my favorite girl thus far. She respects the character's private space but isn't afraid to speak to him, she remains polite even when being asked stuff that would be unpleasant to her, she shows a soft side and a considerable degree of empathy towards others that Erilynn completely lacks, and she's a total knocker besides. I can safely ignore miss princess completely and focus on Kira because first impressions given she's a complete and utter angel.
And no, I won't talk about MC's cousin that way. You guys are weird and gross. She's a good friend tho.
Between the two it mostly comes down to preference.
Erilynn is royalty who is used to getting what she wants. She's shrouded in mystery, as well as pompous and arrogant. I imagine that will change a lot by the time you finish her route, which is why I say her potential for growth and development is better. I think the route has a better chance of being stronger than Kira's, but we'll see.
Kira is independent and aloof. She comes from a rich family. She's interesting and I do like her. I do think her route with her 'family issues' will likely be more straightforward and predictable however, but she's cool nonetheless.
The cousin and broseph-friend are alright. Everyone outside the two girls is just okay, nothing particularly stands out about them. I don't dislike them, but they are very similar to other characters Pixelfade has written so far.
"So far."
But when I spent every free-time option with Erilynn, she developed for the better. Her excess pride dwindles when she is forced to rely upon the other characters to manage such as making a sandwich or (the big one) confiding in others when doubting whether her people were looking for her after a month passes. Like, come the end of Chapter 3, she's no Aqua from Konosuba. Aqua is annoying as she is funny to laugh at when karma comes around.
I believe Erilynn was done well. Perhaps they could have made a scene where her pride is CLEARLY dethroned, be she slowly comes down to the other character's level of pleb. Plus, she's shown to be considerate of others to some degree, even if it's to elevate her own self-worth.
