Yep, for sure, book 6 boss really stands out from the rest. The "don't apply statuses" clause is a bit too much - shuts down too many approaches, and it very quickly becomes untenable to try and tank through it.

I wouldnt call Gloria the hardest, but the most annoying one for sure. The devs knew that most people will be running multihit attacks and decided to "surprise them" with this bs boss. The fight is not even that hard - its just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slog. Even Van Helsing with his 2000 HP wasnt as annoying. Not only do you need to get through 1500 HP of Gloria, it also takes forever to do, AND she heals afterwards.

My favourite was probably the Fox Sisters.

Yeah, Fox sisters got very good design on mechanic where we need to deal 150 dmg to stop their attack.
6 chapter was deff the hardest and the only one that took me more than 1 try when getting there. Though in infernal mode the hydra one was quite difficult also with +70%, them getting 2 armor/hit and me going for a rapid fire build made that one a pain, but that was also just me forgetting what boss i was gonna face

Man I dont even remember any bosses other than Van Hellsing, Gloria and Fox Sisters. They are so forgettable.

I still remember all of the StS bosses despite not playing that game for ages. Theyre just so incredibly designed.

Compare to StS this game get bored fast, I complete the game and play few infernal mode about 30 hours and feels like i'm done with the game. While for StS i sink 280 hours in game and still be able to pick up and play more, Griftland got that charm too.

I think Rogue Lord got a potential but i don't know what could be done to improve replay value of game. Maybe the pacing or progression or balance or randomness, in StS i feels like building a deck combo at good pace while Rogue Lord seem less possibility and just survive with what i got.

The tutorial boss was relatively the hardest, was the only boss I really wasn't prepared for once I met him. Even facing Gloria with my multi hit deck was closer than the first fight.

And for fighting gloria, take Hecate and upgrade sp healing so you can more or less ignore the the oaths.

Gloria, hands down. Van Hellsing barely registered as an boss.

Gloria and Fanatic (the first time i faced him) were the only two bumps that i can recall the name.

Kinda during the trip your party can be surprised by some fights in bad moment. And have hard time to win. But on bosses your stacked. BTW i like Gloria fight. :)

After 37 rounds against Gloria, my answer is Gloria. It's such a drag. Other than her, I only remember the sisters because their design and mechanic was fun. The other bosses? Not a clue. Even Van Helsing is pretty forgettable.

The enemy design in general is lacking a lot. The characters look good at first glance, but there are too few of them and too many fights against the same ones as a result. It all blends together after a (short) while. In other games, you know at first glance if you're fighting a mob, elite, mini boss. Here, I often forget *during* a fight if it's just a random mob with stupid HP or an elite. The enemies are too samey in both looks and mechanics.

Gloria is definitely the hardest boss in the game. Mainly because her set of rules locks out a load of different builds unless you have enough Max SP + SP healing to withstand her rules' damage. It's mainly the "don't apply statuses" as it stops you from healing and doing damage with some very great damage moves like Fury for Dracula. It even stops you from increasing Drac's damage with Unleash the Beast because apparently that's a status...

The bosses themselves may be, but the way you encounter them isn't. You don't know which one you're going to face in Act 2 or 3 until you reach them, which means that you're probably going to get wrecked if it counters the build you're using, and it's too late to change that by Act 3. Like, Time Eater against a rapid-fire build, Awakened One against a Power build, or the Shapes against a slow, defensive build.

I haven't met Van Helsing, but Book 6 Gloria by far is the hardest.
Another memorable one with some difficulty is Fox Sisters.
