Gun Basics 1, having trouble
I've been trying to play through some of the Naval academy missions, But gun basics 1 has me stumped. I try not to automatically revert to "oh the AI is cheating"... but for this situation I just can't help it. The enemy light cruiser will CONSTANTLY get 98-99 % accuracy ratings after the first 30 seconds of the battle. It doesn't matter the crew level, I've seen veterans to green, still will get those ratings no matter the range. While the highest I've seen my MAIN guns get is around 16% basically point blank because the AI ship spawned with no fuel. However it didn't matter as they just peppered me with 100 percent accuracy until it finished me off with a torpedo. Even with my 7 case mates, I maybe scored around 3-4 hits in total compared to their 98-99% accuracy. This is also with 100 percent crew training, and when the ai ship actually spawns with fuel, and chasing it isn't a possibility, I will get between 3-5 % accuracy. I'm really stumped at this one, so if any of you have advice i'd greatly appreciate it.

This is a tough mission. I felt happy the first time I completed the mission. And, no, the AI is not cheating. What you're witnessing is exactly the challenge.

I'll tackle the quest again and hope to return with some useful advice and thoughts.

Okay, tested. Result: bigger is not better. For me the small BB worked the best. Pictures are telling more than a thousand words, right? Here you go:

I used the crusing speed of 7knots for more stability of the 10,9" guns. Watch out for incomming torpedos and dodge them early. the 2,9" guns were more for the show than anything else.

I hope this helps you. If not, don't hesitate to ask.
