No fleets in UK ports but the war info screen in the upper left corner says now:
UK: 1 BC, 15 CA, 11 CL, 18 DDs
Uk has no other ports left than in UK and Ireland. No UK fleets at sea.
I am confused.
It feels that crippling the enemies economy is like roulette: You never now what (economical) numbers come next.
To blockade the UK you also need ships in the Irish Sea. Maybe also the Atlantic but definitely the Irish Sea.
The primary thing it affects is not visible on the politics page.
If you open your finances tab then look at the expenses section at the bottom there is a part that says "TR losses".
This is the main affect from losing transports, this only applies if you are under 100% transport capacity.
So first of all it reduces your transport capacity, then when it drops below 100% you then get a permanent monthly balance reduction from "TR losses".
Being below 100% is also meant to affect your GDP but I couldn't tell you by how much because its impossible to tell with how that system currently works.
For example-
I just had growth +0.7733% (+0.0642% per month).
You don't need a calculator to be able to work out that on the following turn growth should be +0.8375%.
But alas it was +0.6626%.
So trying to work anything out using this system is simply futile.
From what I gather, the growth is on a wave cycle and the the growth per month affects the wave, but you can't see the wave so you can't see the impact of many things.
It would make much more sense if the wave cycle pattern was applied to the growth per month and was visible to the player.
I think you are missing the Irish See. I´m just blockading them by having fleets in those 3 regions.
They also have ports in the Mediterranean and according to the game in the North Atlantic, but i think those don´t count. Playing as Aus-Hun i usally got those regions covered.
The monthly growth figure is not the expected change in the grwth rate next month, it is just the annual growth figure broken down to a per monthly growth value.
You can check it here:
https://calculate.onl/convert-annual-interest-rates/
In their calculator pick Compound interest, Monthly period and enter the annual rate 0.7733
The result is 0.0642, matching the value seen in game.
Thanks man appreciate it!
Still annoying that you can't see the wave cycle though.
