"New Horizons" mod.

[the Baron]

A reshade visuals modification for UA:D.

Objective:

- Replace the vanilla look from UAD for one more realistic.

- Reworked the image details; shadows; clarity; contrast and colours.

- More color to fire, explosions and guns blast.

- A darker blue water tone.

Installation:

Download the content from: https://app.box.com/s/9n8b8cwyug20pka52qexhmzhnku4ofjs

- download the mod "new horizons" from the link
- unpack the mod zip file
- open the folder "new horizons", inside you will have another folder called "new horizons", get the content inside from the second "new horizons" folder and place in your game directory: ....\....\Steam\steamapps\common\Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts

To remove: Just delete the files.

Shortcut keys in game:

- "Home" open/close reshade panel

- "End" enable/disable the effects.

interesting, how "update proof" is this and will you be actively maintaining this? would probably be easier with workshop support as well.

The mod should work with any version. Doens't change anything related to the game files.

About performance, yes you will have an impact. Nothing important imo. 3-5 fps +/-

Sadly i already took a look at the game files and UAD is not modding friendly as WOTS. So don't expect to ever see anything similar to TTE here. What is possible to do is a visual tweak/improvement using reshade or a similar program like i did here or edit the save game. However take note that the devs already mentioned that editing save games is a great way to cause new bugs making life harder for the developers to fix the game so i don't recommend anyway.

Of course maybe someone in the future can find new possibilities where i fail to see them , so there is always hope.

After you unpack the zip file you will get a folder called "New Horizons" with another folder with the same name inside.
You need to place the content inside of the last new horizons folder in: C:\....\Steam\steamapps\common\Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts

Can you please upload a installation guide? i have my New Horizons folder inside the Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts Folder but when i press end or home in game it doesnt Show anything and doesnt work. is there anything else i should do to fix it?

Yes it really needs a detailed guide to avoid any issues. Going to update the mod description.
