BTW is it possible to add new hull and part models to the game? Since I assume the devs won't add all the hulls needed for the game to be "complete".
Thanks for always updating your awesome mod. People like you are the reason why I keep playing the game!
Could someone please post it to NEXUS MODS?

The download link with the instructions is down there after the mod description, which I advised to read at least once.
To design new 3D models and implement in the game, I can't.
What I can, is create new hull packages with the components available to me, and choose the hull, towers, funnels. Then I will edit the components/hull sizes and stats to create something new.
The mod features many ships that were created by me.
Some are historical accurate, others like the modern Torpedo or modern destroyers I created to expand the gameplay experience in late years or to make each nation feel more unique in relation with the ship design language.
Also are you planning of adding Sweden as a playable nation? They designed and built warships domesticly at the timeframe, including quite a few monitor type ships. Their ship roster would be mostly German hulls, with a few Italian destroyer designs in 1930s-40s.
Sweden should control the Norway provinces in 1890 and 1900 start dates.
Shouldn't the British control Egypt at all start dates as they did control the Suez canal during this time?
No because it will not use the same guns and also because the monitors are more coastal ships and incredible obsolete for that time period (1890). Not even the south americans nations were using that if I am not mistaken.
No because of the game performance. There are many new changes to the game code that are being implemented in the mod to force the AI to design good ships, however this come with much bigger loading times. If it is a 1890 campaign start, will only take a few minutes, but if is a 1940 start it can take an hour. I expect to make the life easier for the AI to come with a good design which will improve the loading times, but with more than 500 hulls inside the mod, it will take many weeks.
Yes it should. It is using the vanilla values for now. I will change that in the next update. ;)
I always start at 1890. Absolutely love the mod and play on realistic settings. However, for me around 1905 the games loading times per turn get quite long. By 1910-15, I usually delete the campaign and start another since I get up to 3-5 minute wait times per turn.
Nothing against the mod, more nations have to build more ships so its to be expected. I am just eagerly awaiting when the mod gets setup with the version of UA:D that no longer has the AI design ships.
Sadly no, in fact the new UAD BETA update is a dead end for all modders atm since these vanilla pack ships to speed up the loading added by the devs are all in binary files and so impossible to make it compatible with any changes.
The devs mentioned that they will release a version with the option to not use those ship packs for anyone interested in using mods so it will not change anything.
Also those ships are the typical AI vanilla quality. So yes, fast to load a new campaign, but terrible designs and very weak in battle. Is it worth it?
Note that there is the shared design mechanic, so in theory it should be possible a similar thing by using that feature, but for the moment there is a strange bug that will make the ships vanish when starting a new campaign.
What I will do in a future version is to add a few options for the players to choose what nations they want to see ingame to speed up loading times. I will also will continue to improve the AI design logic per hull to make it easier to get a succesful design faster.
Yes. You will need to change UAD to a previous version. This guide will explain how:
https://forum.game-labs.net/topic/44057-if-you-need-to-downgrade-uad-version-after-an-update/
And then block UAD updates on steam.
Set game to update when start game. Do this in game setting(properties)-> update.
Don't start game by steam or steam shortcut. Make a shortcut on desktop from the main game .exe in this location: "....\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts\Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts.exe"
Start a game from this shortcut. Game will run without updating.
Do we get any whacky, experimental stuff? I like making one off experimental ships lol
I know I can get my warship gunner ships, but I can tolerate the next best thing lol
I must be doing something wrong because if I follow these instructions I can download a perfectly functioning vanilla version (I tried all 1.6.0.6 prior to Opt5), but when I add the mod the Melon uploader finds errors and doesn't work properly.
Use the Melon Loader 6.4 version.
When you install ML you have the option to choose what version you want to use.
