how to stop auto switching target in 1.5.1.6?
when my bunch of dd try to shoot other stuffs, they switch target every 1 second making it impossible to get high accuracy. they also loose all accuracy when they make the smallest turn. but i hate this target switching the most.

how to stop it?

Nothing you can do.

Your ships will shoot whatever the ♥♥♥♥ they feel like. You can click the selected target 10 BILLION times, the second you STOP clicking, it will change to shoot whatever it feels like.

This has been reported for OVER 2 YEARS!!!! And they can't or won't fix it.

So either deal with it, or not play. Those are your options.

(I choose "Not play" and didn't until 1.6 came out. It a bit better in 1.6.... but not much)

i feel u bruh.. played alot during beta until 1.2 i think then i couldnt stand it any longer.. until recently. my body is itching for some ship violence. reinstalled silent hunter3 with mods but that took too much time hunting for ships. sigh. so here i am. not gonna touch 1.6 yet because of the front heavy ship building (its the part of the game i enjoyed alot), i suspect to fix that they will need to wipe ppl's save again lmfao so 1.5 it is until maybe 1.7 lol.

It's not quite as bad in 1.6- I think the instant enemy info change at least keeps the targeting package from changing its mind as much. Still can be a problem, but way more tolerable (at least in my opinion). In 1.5 though, yeah, I have nothing for you other than keep arguing with your insubordinate captains by clicking like mad.

I have it happen occasionally but usually only when conditions of the combat change to let it change targets. I have a harder time getting it to ACCEPT my specific target order. It's like I don't click on the target correctly or something. Once it accepts it, it stays until something happens to make it change.
