Main map button to show your ports
When defeating a country and choosing what territory you want at the end of the war, it is hard to know where the actual territory is before selecting. This is fine, but as there are so many ports on the main map, it is hard to actually find the new port on the map.

Please add a filter button on the main map that toggles to only show the ports you own, or the ports that you may dock at through allies.

It could be a useful addition for our USA players ;-)

It is poor UI design to require the player to remeber where and what everything is. Just as it is poor UI design to not inform the player of things like the port capacity, sea zone, GDP contribution, and projected increase in Naval budget when make requests for territory. A highlighted map with the territories where you can hover over to see this information side by side with a list that can be sorted would be a great usability additon to the game.

Unless you are claiming that you have all of that in you head at all times and can recall it with perfect clarity.

It is usually considered poor form to try to insult people on a forum. Please be a little more considerate.

Player dont have to remember where Erythrea or Laos is, he just have to know it.

And it is not insulting people, it is making fun, with a well know fact ;-)

I think it would be nice to know if you accept another nation's offer to join an alliance that you're not immediately at war with whoever they are at war with.

This also, but generally you always want to be at war so you can upkeep your navy. I did have one odd thing happen today where I paid 1.5 billion to italy to gain an alliance, then the next popup was germany declaring war on me... then the next popup was italy ending the alliance... money well spent?

Back on topic, a remove clutter button to see what you own would be helpful when staging attacks now that fuel and supply is a thing.

Forgive me, I am not often good at spelling or writting, and the written form tends to lose the subtlety in meaning as compared to in-person communication.

However, it seems that you are doubling down on what you said previously. As I understand it, your opinion is that:

1. The UI is fine as is. You prefer to have to rely on memorizing where everything in the world is and its relevance to you in any given instant.

2. Americans are all incompotent at geography. The game is better for not catering to their incompotence. Their incompotence is and should be a point of ridicule and spiteful jokes.

Is this your intention or am I missunderstanding something?

Please clarify.

Well bgp_spook, My original answer was mostly a joke not an answer. There is no problem you dont detect it, it is hard especially when writting. I end my sentences with a wink ... ;-) ... to underline the humoristic sense of the sentence when I write it in this way . But once more, writting things lack of subtility.

Once that said, yes probably, Ui is not perfect at this game. And yes some peoples have no interrest in geography so it is hard for them to have knowledge about it.
We can make fun about this ignorance, but it is not a reason to forget them and not offer some friendly user interface to help them to have fun in their prefered game.

By the way, the game itself can offer peoples some geographical knowledges and help to learn something, without even the player make any conscious efforts for it.

At least list the sea regions those areas we take are connected to. This would help in planning ahead on if we have a new zone to protect or will this already fall into my zone.

I agree. I myself have found this game and games like it to be helpful in learning geography.
