Help wanted: blockades
I have read that you can blockade a country by having complexively at least double the power projection of your enemy in the sea zones adjacent to their home provinces.

First question: is this correct? Don't you have to blockade colonies too?

Second question: what is the exact definition of "home province"? Is there a list of the home provinces of any country?

Third question: if a country has lost part of their home provinces due to conquest/reparations, you have to blockade only the remaining, or you need to blockade anyway all the sea zones adjacent to the original home provinces?

Thank you for any help.

if the ai has any provinces in the area, e.g the black sea, then having your ships in those areas count towards a blockade to all enemy provinces in the area, im pretty sure colonies dont provide as much of a gdp loss as their homeland with good ports, im not entirely sure but thats what i have learned.

1. Yes, You just need to blockade homeland because resources transported from colonies to homeland. Block homeland and that is it.
2. Look at 21 century world map. The provinces that nation has will be considered home provinces in UAD.
3. You don't need to block a conquered home province. You can NOT block a province that you control or not in war with you anyway.

For most countries their home provinces are pretty obvious, but France still has a problem with Fort Bayard being home territory. If you want to blockade France you have to send ships to Asia to complete the blockade.

Thank you for your very helpful answer. One more question, re: n. 2
If I look at a 21st century map, should I consider only metropolitan France + Corsica, or also the Overseas Regions (Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Réunion) which have an identical legal status to the metropolitan regions?

FORT BAYARD??? (Luckily in my case, Fort Bayard has been conquered by China)
