Current issues with the game, and request for the future:
Just want to start out by saying that I'm greatly enjoying the game, mostly. A couple things, however, really need a good look at.
1. Suez canal should either be blockadable, or capturable. The canal was administered by the french and british until the suez crisis in the 50s, so having it under ottoman control at the start is sub-optimal.
2. Cruiser progression is too slow. It is quite easy to be fielding super battleships but still not have a cruiser that is worth fielding.
3. You can have maxed out boiler tech, and still not be able to make some hulls efficient. I'd remove the lock from putting more advanced smokestacks on less advanced hulls. When you're stuck with pre ww1 cruiser hulls but maxed out boiler tech due to the cruiser techline being full of incremental upgrades that don't actually do ANYTHING (I've literally never NEEDED 1000 tons more displacement. I need the hulls I have to be able to mount better funnels!)
4. Autoresolve needs to account for more factors. If I have a maxtech battlecruiser wolfpack with full fuel that is faster than every ship they are hunting, few if any should get away. This is especially annoying when said wolfpack encounters a lone CA or CL and doesn't kill it despite outgunning it by two dozen times, and being faster on top.
5. Forcing us into alliances is >EXTREMELY< bad gameplay. I've had france at -98% relationship just to have italy that I'd previously beaten down to just Sicily declare war and suddenly pfwooomf, I'm allied to france. BAD GAMEPLAY. A provisional alliance would be potentially useful where if you can demonstrate the other members aren't pulling their weight you can exit the alliance without a diplomatic hit. AND ACTUALLY EXIT THE ALLIANCE.
6. Let me use "obsolete" explosives if I want to. Give me that picric acid 1 flamethrower through mk 3 20" very heavy incindiary shells!
7. The chihuahua problem: empires that have been reduced to insignificance should be able to be ignored when they declare war. Just cause they SAY they're declaring war doesn't mean it is actually an issue. In my current game I have germany reduced to a single island with just 6k people on it. They are no threat, they shouldn't be able to trigger war weariness.

Glitches I am (still) encountering:
1. My current USA game I have been at war with the Brits for 9 years. I've captured virtually all british territory except the carribean possessions and a few outliers, I've captured the entire british home territory, and I have no option to end the war. Despite having in excess of 500k victory points to their 100k. Note: This is enough to demand all their remaining territories. NO OPTION TO MAKE PEACE.
2. Building transports doesn't seem to take my massive ship building capacity into account: I have a nearly 2 million ton shipbuilding capacity, and yet with the slider set to full build I am only increasing by .34 a turn. Transports are a bit too abstracted.
3. Getting dragged into a war by my allies only to have them sue for peace a turn later. Worse, having this happen half a dozen times in a 2 year span.
4. There is no meaningful way to combat rebellions. Even if you get the "Military action" bubble and fill it you are more likely than not going to lose the territory. (I've never won one yet.)
5. Capturing a territory that is in active revolt probably shouldn't turn it over to the rebels a turn later. I just parked a million man invasion force there, no woad warriors are going to sneak out of the highlands to push me south of Hadrians Wall. Hell my army is over 3x the population of scotland entire. . .
6. Refitting continues to be glitchy. It is generally better IME to mothball obsolete ships than to refit them. This is a shame, as I'd love to simply put modern turrets, and boilers on some of my classic designs.

If you focus research it in 1910 start than about 1914-1915.

i start in 1890 everytime, not having an intermediate cruiser between 4, and the modern cruisers is awful.

+1 to transports and ship building capacity - this would be counterbalanced by allowing them to take up actual tonnage from your shipyards - even if you just add a slider to allocate tonnage from the shipyard capacity to transports exclusively. Transports that are sunk can be expensive for the loss of goods, sure, but going bankrupt with billions in the bank and capacity to build a thousand transports seems silly

From my perspective, CLs are only good as a means to generate more missions on the strategic level.

I never start at 1940s tech level. My fastest victory was actually with 1890s austria. . .

Good for you? I use them more than i do destroyers, and Germany having a noticeable lack of its historical hulls for a long period of time isnt in my opinion something that should be defended.

When why you complain about cruisers?

1890-1900 - is this a torpedo boat? No? It is not worth fielding.
1940 - I can see emtpy deck space on my ship but unable to put another quad 20" on it. Devs plz fix this bug.

Everything else is the cruiser time.

I've been away for a long time but from what I know situation didn't really change. You still need specific ship types to generate specific missions. And this is especially helpful after strategic ai will go into full coward mode simply ignoring all your taskforces on its way across half the planet.

If I did missed something please help me to get up to date.

In acadamy missions I was surprised with low fuel problems after reducing range to minimum as I thought I wouldn't need it, but that's okay to keep players from exploiting that.
In campaign I never had fuel problems as I build most of my ships with decent range and engine efficientcy. But I design my ships with the area I am gonna use them in mind, Baltic or black see squadrons don't need much range, like colonial or Pacific squadrons.
