Guns not firing, turrets getting stuck
I know this has been reported before but haven't seen any updates on it of late. Is this just a 'you'll have to live with it' problem that won't get solved?

I'm consistently seeing this. Guns that have the 'green Aimed" indicator, are facing an enemy ship dead to rights, well within range... simply not firing. Usually it's the main batteries but not always, sometimes affects secondaries as well.

Also, consistently seeing some turrets getting stuck in position -- usually seems to be when they've rotated as far as they're capable to port or starboard -- and then getting permanently stuck in that position.

Work arounds? Just bugs we'll have to pray the devs one day fix?

It was fixed for quite a while, but it's broken again.

No workarounds that I know of.

the stuck guns thing can be worked around by turning your ship so the side they are stuck facing is pointed at the enemy...they'll unstick and resume firing. Seems to happen mostly to aft guns when closing with the enemy at an angle and then switching to closing at the opposite angle. Turning away from the enemy instead of towards when switching what side youre fighting off of seems to prevent it pretty well

This used to be the old fix but it doesn't seem to work all the time any more.

Sometimes it resumes at random too.

More annoying is the speed slider sometimes stuck and you can't slow down or speed up. Also unsticks by itself after a few minutes.

I can't stand all of the speed slider changes. Give me 1.06 patch any day.

I recently noticed this with turrets getting stuck. They can get "un-stuck" if you turn the ship so the turret gets aligned with the target. Then it will fire and after that start tracking again.

Very annoying.
I some how wish this game was bad so I could stop playing it instead of it being very good and having immense potential, meaning I keep getting annoyed with all the bugs because it it just too good to stay away from anyway :D

I get where you're coming from. Probably the most frustrating thing about the game is how great it has the potential to be..... were it not for the 1,000+ bugs that mar it.

If the naval/tactical battles could be ironed out, and the strategic level refined to something like a Paradox-game level of sophistication, I might never play another game besides this again.

If nothing else, devs should take a page from Pdox and open the game up to modders. Let modders solve some of the problems the dev team doesn't have the resources to solve...

For me, putting the ship on AI-control will unstuck the turret. Wait for the first salvo, then take the control back and the turrets will work. For a while...
