Induced % funnels question
so after i have Induced tech my funnels get real power.
what im usually doing is take off the strongest funnel and go lowers till the engine power is around 110s
while im doing this im lowering the level or tier of the funnel which means not using the best one. this is to lower the weight. in most cases it works. or sometimes i just use 1 top tier funnel only 1 because it makes less weight too.

question is if i lower the tier am i doing something bad or it doesnt matter. lowers are also have less smoke and so on if im not mistaken. but again its lower class so i was wondering if its wise or not.

thanks

Lower is nearly always better.

There are a few more advanced funnels which are better but most aren't.

The main reason you take the larger ones is if they are more space efficient.

I'm always reluctant to use only one funnel. That way if it gets blown up I don't lose all ability to exhaust my engines. If I am compelled to use only one, I usually increase armor there if possible.

For the same efficiency an induced setup will weigh and cost more.

Some designs however will limit how much efficiency you can get off of natural funnels, so using an induced setup will save on the number of funnels and deck space you need to use.
