1. Never use the research vials, always develop without using them or you are likely to fall behind the research curve.
2. Wait until your torps have at least 3k range, or better 5k, before producing TBs.
3. Design your own fleet at the start.
in 1890 i only use BB+CL its pointless to get every tech developed while i want stereo rangefinder and all the accuracy tech asap for my battle few years later. with all accuracy parts mounted, my BB are basicly perform like 1900 ship in 1894/1895 could do things like 1vs30 in battle
ur advantage will snowball down the road if u know what u are doing especially when u able to take down an empire every war
custom battle/ shared design r really good place to take a look at the nation's strength and weakness down the path find the hull u want and parts u want, and focus research to get it early and u can overpower ur opponent easily.
But, i have terrible performance issues ( long loadings between month and heavy fps drops in large battles)
does anyone have a solution?
i think turn calculation time is not able to be solved, maybe higher computer hardware might help.
for battle performance, turn shadow off or make it to lowest setting might help. 1600x900 resolution might help as well. i always play in 1600x900 window mode while watching youtube
For general shipbuilding-
Min displacement.
Max beam.
Min draught.
Veteran crew.
100% engine efficiency.
Reasonable speed for the hull.
Light shells
Highest mark guns
Incendiary rounds (once researched)
Never go higher than capped AP, early game you can just use semi.
Max barrel length
Since the game has already on much different version number.
Also SSD doesn't matter I'm using a HDD, with only 20MB read write speed....
It still gives off typical loading time as many people.
The loading time on this game is more related to the Processor or CPU rather than on storage speed. Since it depends on AI to create ship designs.
