Why Tropedos wont fire ??
Why torpedos wont get fired? torpedos are loaded, angle is right.
Distance is in range close at range. the only fire when you far away and all torpedos miss

Normally torpedoes don't track target until you get within the range. Try shift-right click the target before you enter the range, they should start tracking it and be ready to fire sooner. Also slowing down a bit a few seconds before launching might help a bit.

thx did it different this time, full main guns on the front, fires 9 tropedos 3 boats fired 3 tropedos 1 hit.
then i sacrefised 1 boat by ramming the destroyer 😂

This works for me when making a run with torpedo boats.

It seems that with earlier launcher techs the mounts won't track the target fast enough if the ship is over a certain speed, or if the ship is in a turn, and of course or both. The mounts are always slightly behind although they look correct. So I will move into position to launch put the ship on a straight ahead course and set the speed to zero. I've gotten used to the delay enough that I can actually time it out to start tracking my target around 10 seconds before launch and then with the above procedure get the torps to launch like clock work. Results still vary but often I can get at least half the spread to hit depending on what range I choose from the target and if the target is or isn't already evading.

It's a bit of a trick but there is a certain skill of timing plus situation recognition to the process. I haven't played past the 1920's yet so I'm not sure if the newer launchers behave differently. Still with a bit of practice this will work, and with a bit more as well as building solid tough destroyers you'll be able to bring them out alive frequently... banged up but not sunk.

I'm playing the academy (tutorial?) and in the 3rd mission BB vs CL my torpedo launchers never aim or fire even within range (0.9 km). Enemy can fire torpedoes at me some 4km away.

ok so I finally got my torps to fire... except now I can't get my DDs to slow down from flank speed. Any ideas? throttle is locked at flank.

This is a recurrent Bug. Usually goes away if you flick the "Ai control" a few times.

Yes speed lock bug is new. Change course normally breaks the lock. Also drop speed to half before torp launch. Seems to improve odds.
