All they had to do after they officially released the game was adding steam mod support, but they didn't and here we are!

I think the war has made things difficult for them. They are also putting a lot of effort into UG: American Revolution. Maybe when things calm down in Ukraine, they can get back to this title.

The game has all the features promised from what I can tell (as an kickstarter backer for this one) and helped them move on to developing UG1775. As someone above said they are having issues being a Kiev based company. They are most likely dealing with losing employees to conscription and/or dealing with down time from blackouts caused by russian strikes on infrastructure. They fact that they are doing anything is great. UG1775 has been slowed down massively compared to the timelines they had for Gettysburg and UG:CW.
There might be bugs but you show me one game out there that is completely bug free and I will show you my stable of racing unicorns ridden by leprechaun jockeys

The devs are doing the same thing now with ultimate admiral dreadnoughts, calling it "finished" and will not add mod support not any more major fixes. the game is in quite bad state. How can they live with themselves, dont they have any sense of pride, mental commitment to a functional creative process. Those people should not be allowed to work as devs. they belong in userland.

Let's be fair. The developers did a lot of work on the game with multiple updates and additions. As is, with it's flaws and limitations, the game is still playable. In the best of all possible worlds, it would not have been abandoned in its current state, but it's not an unmitigated failure. As far as I know, Dreadnought is still being worked, which is sometimes the problem as fixes don't seem to fix things.

yes but this game with some more work could become just a masterpiece , having better freedom on the custom battle side of things , or even we could create a sort of campaing , just nuts ... they allways do the same tho , nice games with nice ideas , half baked , and half made . GAME LABS DOES NOT CHANGE idiots.

12/22 was the invasion huh?
you might want to look that up and delete your comment before someone says you are stupid. The invasion started in 2/22
now saying that should they have put something out between 9/21 and 2/22 you would think so. but please at least get the damn date right

Nothing 'stupid' involved. Typed '12' instead of '2', which was a fumbly fingered mistake. Doesn't change the point, that is, in response to the comment that the Russian invasion caused delays doesn't explain the gap. So, unless you can show that the developers have done anything with the game since 11/21 and it's now 6/23, the game is abandoned.
