The class of ships the you have to push up against during engagements
at sea also increases.
(i.e. players have to face Endymion or Leda Frigates instead of Unity Frigates early game).
While on normal difficulty the player can choose between lower class opponents
or higher classed. I suppose that if you choose go against the odds on the hardest
difficulty the enemy inflicts even more damage than you could do respectively.
Basically troops of higher experience will have faster morale and stamina regeneration.
I have found no evidence that mission objectives are other than the regular.
Could it be the mission-goal was not described clear enough in regard to the
possible retreat of your units?
in objcts in motion i can retreat the fleet or eliminate the enemy fleet never retreted so i dont know what happens exactly but i tryed it till the victory screen ??? sooo i can fight and get damage which i can repair with the money i got from the victory or i can retreat and get the money for that??? i am confused ???
The against all odds select is moving the difficulty you selected at the beginning of the campaign up or down for the selected battle. This can result in a change to enemy experience, equipment, and rate of ship. Depending on the battle the changes might not be as obvious as ship rate however.
