Oh look, it's a Generic 'Native American' Game
Dear Game Labs,

So let me get this straight, you made Ultimate General Gettysburg and Civil War using real generals, real battles, real locations, real weapons and the real Union and Confederate Armies, even the real rebel battle flag.

You made Naval Action with real ships, real locations and real nations even using each nation's language.

Then you decide to make a game about Native Americans and you use fake everything and mix the Woodland cultures with the Plains cultures and you use 'karma' and other generic non-Native American jargon.

Why? Be honest, why?

You act like you want to convey that you 'sympathize' with the Native American struggle, but you can't even be bothered to NAME any of the many nations and you lazily mush all the tropes and stereotypes into a mish-mash of generic nonsense!

First question out of a natives mouth about this game: 'Is it historical?' or 'Do they use real peoples'? or 'Let me guess, generic indians right?' YEP BROTHER YOU KNOW IT

Insulting to use our struggles, our legacy, our culture and not even have the common decency to name any of our peoples or use any actual native language.

Not that you'd know the difference between an Iroquois or a Cheyenne or an Apache, or which peoples had horses and which ones did not, or which peoples were tall and which were short and which peoples fought the long occupation to the end and which ones helped it, or who had earth lodges or hide lodges!

'Throw a little plains style here, a little southeastern stuff there, throw some northeastern style over there, some horse people stuff here, some non horse people and a little corn planter stuff over there...'

'It doesn't matter they're all the same'

Make a WWII or Napoleonic game like you've done this game, I dare you.

You probably think natives will be outraged if you actually NAME our nations and recreate their their unique dress and styles, but we'd simply love to be acknowledged for once and replicated ACCURATELY!!

Also, native warriors weren't hippies, our ancestors honored the men most able to make great violence! They wore scalplocks on their shirts! A woman would not wed a man who had not killed, counted coup or stolen horses!

But no, white people not even from this continent make a game using Native American imagery and the story of our struggle and don't EVEN ATTEMPT TO REPLICATE IT ACCURATELY.

"It's just those dumb ♥♥♥♥♥♥, they were all alike anyway, you seen one you seen 'em all"

...and the irony of players wanting women and children replicated correctly but not giving a ♥♥♥♥ that all the males are just melting pot garbage of the imaginary 'EVERYTRIBE'.

You probably think ALL native peoples fought against the long invasion too...and you think that all settlers were like 10th generation Americans, when about half who killed or were killed by natives had been born in Europe!

Entire towns in Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota and the Dakotas spoke German, Swedish or another northern European language in the 1860's!

Don't get on your high horse blaming 'Americans' for our plight, it was mostly straight off the boat Europeans flooding the woodlands and then a hundred years later the plains.

Even by the late penultimate Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876, of the nearly 700 men of Custer's 7th Cavalry, 15% were Irish, 15% German, 13% others such as Norway and Italy, making 43% of the regiment being born outside the US and another 26% being of parents born in Europe.

We know who took our lands, you should too.

Yes, I know, natives had been taking lands from each other for centuries... so then why are you making these so called 'natives' in the game out to be reluctant warriors who get 'bad karma' for killing?

Our ancestors only honored WARRIORS AND WARFARE, killing is what they had been trained for from birth. That is one thing in common from the NE tribes to the SW tribes, from the SE tribes to the tribes on the plains all the way to the NW.

Ah but you enlightened Russian developers imagine our ancestors to be peaceful wolf hugging pacifists beaten up by the big mean 'Americans' right?

Just keep pretending that no one cares that you've chosen just one of your games to be fantasy instead of history.

Stop complaining.

I love Native Americans and how their lifestyle was and
I am ashamed for what the white people did to them.
But this is a game and not RL.
So far I am only watching youtube and I love what I see.
Play the game or dont, its your choice.

Hi Dewnis.
I sent you a friend invite.
I am also living in Sweden and like to be
able to write to you in private about the game if it is ok..
Zalzany Nov 24, 2019 @ 12:11pm
What? The karma system isn't some kind of indian religon mechanic child. Its simple system you get too aggressive and the settlers react diffrent, kill less people and they start to progress in a diffrent way. Its not like christian god comes down with budda and gives you gifts lol

I mean you missed everthing about this game, its procdurlurly generated so each new save is diffrent. So no there is no real names and what not present. And your taking back all the land not just one tribes, so yeah your fighting for the woods, the plains, even the desert biome from the settlers.

You from freaking sweeden and crying about "our plight" dude this is a troll. Even if you got some native american in you you so distant all you got is books, and stories. I live in what was the wild west its not accurate to the tribes around here but its a game its not suppose to be. Christ kiddo if they made it accurate it would be M for mature it would have settlers kidnapping squas and ♥♥♥♥. Grow the hell up man.

And your not writing you are ranting about the game man, just move the hell on and stop trolling.
GObonzo Nov 24, 2019 @ 6:48pm
so you also complain about every fantasy game, shooter, simulation, etc for not using real-life characters, real weapons, real cultures or real technology or are you just ignorant when it comes to this particular gaming topic?

guess your dumb-a** rant has accomplished what it seems intended for though. has baited a few of us to "feed the troll".

Agree to disagree, but everyone is entitled to his/her opinion.

Hey, of all the years of playing pc games, video games, never has anybody really tried to do this at the level of this game. I applaud them for attempting. Out of all the nations the amount of research to be accurate, would be immense and would still be incorrect or some Native would still have something to say.

Who cares really, it's a video game with a Native fighting for his land.

The game doesn't try to be historically accurate, let's all be massacred and forced to assimilate,
what the hell fun would that be?!?

Personally I'd like to see a new game +, so I could be mowing down camps.

Sioux nations and Kiowa nation right here.

I actually like the random place names and random map layout, kinda wish tehy would also add in some slight model changes (like maybe different coloured tatoo's/markings or different armbands) so that you don't always end up with the same chief with a different name.

Stop being a stop having fun guy guy :p

(I only skimmed the important parts of your post; first paragraph | soz)

Wow, you made a brand new account just to be a pathetically sad troll; I legitimately feel sorry for your parents, if they have any dignity at all they must be absolutely crushed knowing what a spectacular failure of human existence you are.
