rule of thumb, if a game never promised coop and already released. it will not have coop.
They will have to redo the entire game to be able to build the framework for coop.

Hello, the game is single-player only. Co-op is something for us to discuss but no plans at the moment.

unlikely considering they hasn't been a single update since release, not even bug fixes, and the devs are actively releasing weekly updates on their other game, which is clear statement that they already moved on.
