Flight Of Nova

So definitely no chance of VR for this?
I'd really like to try flying a cargo ship in VR.

Aww. I hope the VR game you said you're making is just like this one then.

It might be possible in Vorpx or some other VR modifier to work since it is a Unity game. No motion controls though HOTAS is superior anyway. I might try fooling around with this.

How dare you to say, this game wont support VR?
No, really...this game is predestined for VR.:steamsad:
Who cares about VR, it takes up too much resources. The move to VR development in Combat Air patrol 2 is what killed that sim which could of been great but the developer added VR support programming mid development and it killed the game and he abandoned it. Its not so easy to do.

I have a Rift S and its too much of a hassle to set it up and put on all the time. VR is still sort of a gimmic to. I use it for VTOL but thats it and even then I get tired of setting it up. If anything Track IR is far easier to jump into and use and even then I barely use it.

Id rather see the base game finished first. I did not buy into Nova to see it fail like CAP 2.

Stop bullying the developer over this. Find a VR dedicated space sim elsewhere. You got options.

I play Automobilista2 and DCS all the time in VR with my RiftS and im very happy with it. Got no problems.
We dont bullying the dev. We just say it would be great. In the end its the devs choice.

Simple Rockets 2 supports VR and they have a broad range of mods for various spacecraft - and if you don't like what they offer you can always build a craft to your own liking. Highly recommend.

The bar for VR has been raised so high, and flight sim folks are so picky and spoiled, that anything less than stellar VR support will result in review bombing from a very loud vocal minority of VR users that think the game is trash because the dev didn't build it from the ground up to support VR.
VR is not just a checkbox. VR support is a lot more than just rendering a motion tracked camera. If just drop in a VR camera rig and "press the VR button" as people seem to think you can right now, none of the menus would work and VR would have to be enabled only when flying, which means you'd need to take on/off the headset while playing that doesn't pass anymore. Cue angry posts about "this game doesn't support VR".
The problems go on and on. And doing it right would have meant building the game from the ground up specifically for VR.
I guess that's the reason the game doesn't support VR.

Nonsense, it just needs rendering and head tracking for a sim. Motion controllers can be ignored. The problem area would be performance.

But since it isn't going to happen then people like me will just move on. It's like race sims, once you go VR it just isn't the same on panel. I have an expensive UW, too.

VR in this game don't need controlers !
just to be IN the cockpit with a HOTAS IS fine .
I will try it with VorpX just to see what it does .
If it is Unity , dev , you just have to tick the box !^^

Sim-games without VR in 2023 is non-sensical.
The tech is mature enough at this point and it's really the only serious way to sim now.

Time does not stand still.
