However, there are two issues with the game right now:
1.) The Controls are split between keyboard and mouse, there is no true gampad mode yet. The default profile will suffice, it's just a bit annyoing to have to use the mouse on ocasion -> trade etc. You can change the profile to include the buttons 1-6 instead of other stuff - this might speed up things since almost all actions are bound to these...
2.) Despite the games looks, you will encounter the occasional slow down, this shouldn't be a problem in a turned based game - it's just not nice when you move around quickly.
Aside from that the Dev wrote he was planning to support the Deck -> keep in mind it's a single due who just release his game -> he will have other things to do right now, like bugfixing and hopefully some celebrations, too.
Thanks for the responses, I know it's not a major install, I just admit I wasn't in the mood to experiment with it at the moment. Sounds like it's playable but might be wise to wait before I try and use it as a "go to" on my portable.
I'm a big fan of games like Ultima and Deathlord, so am pretty happy this was made.
