Time
Is there a reason that time passes in this game? I've spent 175 in game days, now.

Have you though? Or have you only spent 24?

A means of scoring I think. Also vendor restocking.

I don't think there are any timed quests in the game, so I believe the timer is only there so the game can tell you "you've finished the game within XY days" at the end.

It's not even accurate for that purpose since the game starts at 2:00 am on Day 151.

The game starting on Day 151 is relevant to OP's question, yeah.

I think it's partly to give you an idea of how long it's been between the initial prologue aboard the ship and the flashback at the estate? (The calendar is probably different in this world but that wouldn't mean anything to most players.) I do think that's a bit confusing in terms of what most games would be counting, and probably could've been covered with a '151 days later...' transition. But oh well.

That would make more sense if the stuff at the Estate didn't take place two weeks earlier, on Day 137. I am now very curious what the game is counting back to.

Huh. I guess I just assumed.
