Game Issue: Cursor Movement

Cursor keeps scrolling to the top left, cant click anything and fighting with it doesn't do much.

Disabled any controllers, tried re-installing, tried verifying, still no luck.

The only other thing i could potentially suggest is going to C:\Users\NAME\AppData\LocalLow\High North Studios\SKALD_ Against the Black Priory\MetaData and remove GlobalSettings.dat, ( make a copy of it to be sure), which will reset your settings just incase something has bugged out there too.

Workaround for the issue, plugging in a controller and enabling the steam input overide in the options from the library allowed me to go into the game without the scrolling cursor issue and now the folder that @Seraxia mentioned has the GlobalSettings.dat file.

Also, to anyone else looking for a fix - make sure you don't have any 3D or graphical tablets/mice plugged in separately, as the game might pick them up!

Sort of related - on PC, having a USB Razer Orbweaver plugged in prevented moving by clicking with mouse on a point on map/item/door (you could click and path showed, but the character would not move).

Played half the game thinking WASD was the only way to move until I happened to disconnect the additional USB keypad.

I have the same issue. I am using several specialized devices (3D connexion spacemouse, wacom intuos tablet, davinci resolve speed editor...) I tried disabling each of those to no avail, even disconnecting my bluetooth dongle or the controller's dongle has no impact...

seems just having a driver installed for those causes the issue? I had a similar issue with another game which, fortunately, had a startup option to disable controller support, which fixed it...

I will try to needlessly connect and activate a USB gamepad to see if I can get around it x_X

I tried plugin my 8bit do controller (xbone), Xbone S and PS5 controller, both wired and wireless (bluetooth and 2.4g) nothing works... the metadata directory is empty :(

ok I fixed it.

it was caused by the 3dconnexion spacemouse KMJ emulation driver.

here is how to disable the gamepad part of the emulation which is causing issues:

1) Go to Device Manager
2) Along the top select 'View' -> 'Devices by connection'
3) near the top of the newly organised list should be '3Dconnexion KMJ Emulator'.
Expand that by clicking the '>' arrow to the left
4) select 'HID-compliant game controller'
5) right click that entry and select 'Disable device'
6) Enjoy no longer having the SpaceMouse Enterprise getting in the way of other things.... like gaming in Steam for example.

Thank you so much XC3N, this has been bugging me for years in different games. It made Skald completely unplayable, but this fixes it perfectly.
