Champion build help
I'm curious as to what spells are skills work best for a Champion as a sword and board frontline fighter. The spells are all available in a guide, but I'm wondering what actually comes across as useful out of the available spells and skills.

I currently have a merc heirophant as a dedicated healer to sit behind the frontliners and shift around using lay on hands and blessing them, which seems to work nice. Now that I got the cleric NPC that seems like even more healing and blessings lol. I'm wondering if the CC skills would be worthwhile or end up being useless later on compared to weapon skills.

Is it worthwhile investing in the disease/poison heals? I feel like I've always got potions for disease and poison seems to drop off very quickly.

You *could* sell all your disease potions and pick up the cure disease spell. Maybe hold on to one or two for emergencies. You cant go wrong with armsmastery skills shield and sword, I prefer two handed plus + sword feats as they stack and include cleave but a tanky champion is good too you would want to invest in the armor skills at some point so the encumbrance penalty doesnt cut your dodge bonus.

somewhat unintuitively investing in strength and agility is better than fortitude for health as the early returns on health fall off quick at higher levels whereas dodge stays relevant once encumbrance doesnt eat into it. As for spells heals are always good or the buffs of heroism is great and very cheap, bear strength is good but twice the cost, you can also cast after rest and it will last until the end of your next battle.

*edit oh the stun spells are phenomenal to decently helpful but somewhat situational, they do help mitigate damage per round, I find them best for setting up backstabs or collective beat downs on troublesome foes. It seems there arent any stun resistant monsters in the game though there are late backstab resistant ones.

Poison tends to last very briefly, I think curing it with a spellcaster, moving into position and spending attunement would be more work than it's worth.
