trying to find some unborn ones for katak...

So, I was told that where I need to go is not far away from the great oak. Apparrantly it is north past the fetid pools. I try going as north as I can and all I hit is a shrine! where can I find the unborn of the scaled ones to help get medicine for the refugee camp? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks a bunch! :)

It is in the forest itself, you'll find an area with water and wooden planks with a cave above it. This place is hard to navigate, from the witch hut go down then after a while left then up if I remember correctly.

I found a cave over some wooden planks and saved my game. I assume this is where the unborn are. Thanks so much for your help! Man...I am loving this game but I really wish there was a map function...

For the inside of the cave look in the NW area for the egg clusters (Shift to highlight).

The cave lizards can hit hard, so another good option is to just sneak by them and steal the eggs.

She says the Un-born are "north of the great oak". Isn't her house the Great Oak??
No wonder I couldn't find the &^% things!

Didn't have that problem.

You're greeted with an NPC (the lumberjack son looking for his "dar") the moment you arrive in the forest.

He tells about the great oak with a march north of it with lizards living in it. He also tells you about Katak's hut as a separate location in a different place ("in the North East). So a minute later you're getting this quest of picking up some "unborn from the scaled ones".... Granted, on my way to Katak, I'd already seen the oak as well. I just love to explore new places.


Personally, I was rather struggling with the froggie quest in the refugee camp. That's clearly one where simply exploring the map (which aren't that huge here, plus all self-contained) wouldn't solve it. But since it's optional anyway, I accepted that as an added challenge, and just skipped it. :P

So, I had managed to find the Egg Clusters in the cave. Except, I can't seem to do anything with them?

I recall I wasn't given any option to use them when I returned to Katak. I had sold them to her, and had bought them again, and still no option to use them. There is also no way to give them to the mother in the Refugee Camp either, so that's not the solution either.

Am I missing something here? Did I do something that broke the quest? I don't believe I asked Katak for further details before accepting her quest to go find the Egg Clusters, maybe that was it?

EDIT: Wrong eggs. My bad! The spider cave isn't the right cave, but apparently there's another one in the same area.

oh maaaaan. i also assumed "the great oak" is that witchs house. so i went north and couldnt find anything. this should be made more clear dev
