The game runs too fast on a 486. You need to use Moslo or disable the cache in the BIOS. Also It requires around 585 KB of conventional memory and uses it's own bespoke memory manager incompatible with QEMM or EMM386, so you'd have to make a bootdisk, no other way around it unfortunately. Just don't forget to add Smartdrv.exe to your boot disk, otherwise the game would slow down to a crawl because of the way it constantly accesses hard disk.

Boot disk? My man, you are running some seriously out of date system. Upgrade to DOS 6 and get yourself access to MENU and MENUITEM commands in your config and autoexec like those of us living in this century!

Well it's a Compaq Presario. Only runs at 66mhrz, but I got the ram upgrade daughter board so it has 16mb. My dad won't buy a Pentium because he says that the 486 works just fine for Word Perfect.

Ahh, that sucks. But don't worry, the glitchy Pentium P60 and P66 are actually slower in some games than a nice 486 DX4/100, so talk your dad into that upgrade.
