Any way to get key in underwater tunnels

Mapping it out it seems to be impossible to get the key off the corpse in the tunnels under the light house and escape alive. Is there any way to get more rounds of oxygen or something similar?

I was wondering the same thing. It seems to me you need more oxygen somehow.

It is based on athletics stat. Encumbrance lowers it, so take off armor. Currently only the main character is checked, so make sure they swim in their underpants, you should get a few more turns.

You have to swim back and resurface, just examine the corpse and you'll make it out with 1 oxygen left.

Had a similar problem. I guess no-ones going to be breaking the 100m freestyle Olympic record in plate mail.

Thanks I was missing that, 6 rounds seemed extremely unreasonable.

You need at least 8 turns of oxygen in order to get the corpse key and get out alive, east, east, south, examine corpse, north, west, west, west.

So if you didn't pick an ATH build does that mean you just can never get the key? Because then I'm stuck at 7 oxygen and it's impossible to get the key alive. Seems extremely unreasonable to only check the main character, since Kat is in your party.

you will eventually get plenty of items that boost athletics - however the key is used for only the locked chest by the dead smuggler you can already open with Roland spamming force rolls

Yeah, I've got a dude with 6 athletics and even he can't get there and back naked. This has to be a bug since none of the other skill checks so far only work on your generated character, they check based on whomever you've currently set as the lead. :/

I stripped the whole party down and got up to 8 oxygen (from just stripping the lead character and getting 6), so I was able to make it.

It's just been patched so that you no longer need to have 2+ in athletics for your main character anymore; just being naked with default 1 point in the ability should work now.
