yeah im wondering what this will be about. first i was cthuluh and fantasy? wut? but if done right it could be cool (it probably will be cool). but i had the same first reaction :)

For me it's the other way around.
I love the Cthulhu mythos. In recent years some developers tried incorporating the ideas of Lovecraft into their works without understanding what it's all about. They throw in some tentacle monsters and think thats enough to call it "lovecraftian". From what I've seen so far this game seems handle the material in a better way.

But I don't know if I can stomach the graphics.
My standards aren't particularly high, I still play games like Baldur's Gate 1+2 from time to time. But this one takes it a bit to far with the retro vibe for my taste...

I'm still hoping someone makes something akin to Night of the Comet or Prisoner of Ice again. Once can hope.

While I certainly understand it may not be everybody's cup of tea, do at least watch some video of people playing it live. The lighting and environmental effects do make it look a lot better than the actual classics it emulates, but it's hard to really notice it in screenshots.
