Better off playing Pathfinder kingmaker or other classics
Not sure how this had a successful kickstarter, but there are plenty of games more visually appealing and designed well vs this game. Maybe if this game was designed in Unity it might appeal better to the masses. Even spider web software games look a tad better and that's not really saying a lot along with Knights of Chalice 2.

I remember the hype with Grimoire: Heralds of the Winged Exemplar with Cleve saying it took him 20 or was it 30 years to make his game that has been seeing sold for a dollar now on a good sale when he said he will never sell for less then a high amount if memory serves me right. He loves his space baby :)

you are comparing a modern game style to a retro game style they are not even comparable. its like saying call of duty is better than world of warcraft wtf

The kind of people who think that the Lighthouse would have looked better in color.

This guy is points farming. Bait used to be believable.

I can't believe Steam got rid of the Clown award...... Jester just isn't as insulting.

Well one of the advantages to playing eye candy games one can likely pull better all nighter's if they want without all that sugar. Just might need some Red Bulls or coke to keep the eyes better focused on squinting on those pixel graphics or a good pair of glasses.

Speaking of Eye candy games, think Ill go enjoy one now.

Kingmaker is unplayble trash without balance and story and optimization still

Without story? lol

Who cares about balance in a single player game? No one.

Ronnie. I am almost fifty. I love retro stuff. My audio is all hifi and for music I love my fluance turntable. I love retro games. I love old dos, amiga, Apple ii, Atari systems. As a kid I had a ti-99 with a cassette system for storage. I taught myself basic from my old ti. My favorite games are the ultima games; wizardry games, lands of life and many many more. I personally cannot wait to buy this title. I love how it looks. I love how it plays. I also loved the recent Apple ii-e game that came out. Each to their own.

Hopefully this is successful enough that his next game gets a -slight- facelift. Maybe just a bit better graphics & animation. But there is a certain charm to the throwback graphics and they are really well done for what they are.

Getting some Ultima 6/7 vibes including the very conspicuously similar style of text.

I'll be honest, I do like eye candy. I'm 48, been playing CRPGs since Ultima Exodus in 1987. Grew up with my C64, goldbox games, an old 386, etc. Yet still, I love a well done retro game as long as the gameplay is modern. This game feels very sharp and easy to pick up and play. The CRT filter is fun to use. I have no complaints, and I'm a very finicky gamer that usually turns his nose up at "pixel graphics"

I'm about 80% through wotr but I'm enjoying the writing and story more with this game. Feels like there was more thought and effort put into it.

Graphics shouldn't be a problem, even if they look 8 bit. Skald has pretty good gameplay but for me, the game would randomly stutter at odd times for no apparent reason, dropping to very low single digit frame rates. Made it unplayable.

I remember Ronnie from another discussion forum, but I can't for the life of me remember which one. That thread was funnier, though.

Alright well enjoy the game folks I've said what was needed.

You've said nothing new or interesting and you've said it loudly.
