Im sorry but this game felt like a high school kids project.
Just shows not to buy anymore of your games in the future.
About buying my games in the future, I think people should buy games based on how they are *now*, not who the developer is or what they promise for it to be in the future :D
I just feel like I've done enough for this project and I just want to move on. I don't want to spend the rest of my life doing it, because it's just not fun for me personally. I would rather write down the mistakes I've made (and I know I've made quite a few!) and improve myself.
When you say "I don't stand by my product" or "I got some money from people and ran away", it really hurts my heart.
Im hoping you take this criticism to heart. Just because you spent time and your raw talent on a project does not mean it should mean you charge alot of money for a raw product that should still be in early access. Maybe ask for help from the community to help fix the glaring stuff like the above poster points out. There are many modders who LOVE to do this kind of freelance work, but you gotta ask for it.
Hopefully going forward you learned and dont make the same choices about releasing an unfinished game that you charged money for. Some devs make a single project their life long mission to make it the best game they can.
I can list several single studios devs who worked on their games over 10 years before they called it complete. Some of them are still supporting and adding stuff to it as DLC to keep the funding going.
There is so much more you can do for this game to expand it but it takes determination and some mental fortitude to keep going.
Here is one game to check out by a single dev - Mercury Fallen - who just released it after over 7 years of solo development.
