OVR Toolkit

Use OVR Toolkits keyboard as "real keyboard" input in ETS 2/other games?
So i tried OVR Toolkit in ETS 2 and it worked as it should, but using the OVR keyboard to simulate the inputs i would do on my physical keyboard did not work. (for example ressing O would do thing X in the game and pressing N thing Y)
Now my question is, is it possible to do that and i simply did something wrong or is it not possible to use the OVR keyboard as input in games/ETS2 ?

Also regarding to this question, i would love to have a panel (like a Elgato Stream Deck for example) where i could set different keyboard commands, that i could place somewhere and use the VR controller to press.

OVR Toolkit's keyboard tries to simulate typing, not really inputs in games.
One big case of this you'll notice is if you hold down a key on the OVR Toolkit keyboard, it'll start to spam that key after a little. As your keyboard drivers for your real keyboard 'kind of' do when you're typing and hold a key.

In most games, the inputs will work correctly, but some games just don't like simulated inputs unfortunately!

As for the keyboard commands... If you have Unity installed, you can create this as a custom keyboard. :)

And I bought OVR just for this :´( Thinking it will enable me to do DCS in VR. Now I need to look for other onscreen keyboards

Windows builtin onscreen keyboard would work on the emulation side. Unfortunately it breaks on the mouse input side. DCS robs the mouse cursor (only in VR).

Maybe it could work for ETS 2 too

How does ETS 2 work correctly for you?
if the window created by the OVR toolkit is active, then the headset tracking in ets 2 stops ((
