Have you tried re-centering the in-game view?
For some context, when you re-center the view in games it calls a function in SteamVR that re-centers EVERY application.
Pushing that binding in game changes the 'origin' (0, 0, 0) position in OVR Toolkit and unfortunately shuffles around our windows.
Realistically, the best way around this is to use the 'Recenter window' option in OVR Toolkit, which will position your windows relative to where you toggle them on, keeping them in the same location (relative) each time. :)
Even when I go back into OVR toolkit, and reset in there, sometimes it just places the windows in some impossible location that is greatly above or below, or twisted at some weird angle.
I have tried to delete it and reset it to brand new to make sure I dont have something old in it, not sure if there is some folder that has some thing saved that I need to make sure is gone to try to start fresh
When you recenter the view in game, does it move your windows around?
in general, do you find the window locations move whilst in-game? Or just on starting that VR session?
Also what VR headset are you using? Inside-out tracked headsets like the Quest 2 and 3 and PiMax Crystal do not save their center position between HMD restarts as well, which is worth noting!
Then you're right, the location shouldn't be changing really. :o
The fact that they're not moving with the in-game view is pretty unique too as typically in seated games this is what would happen.
Would you mind joining our Discord server and posting about this in #support? Feel free to tag @curtisvl if you'd like to get my attention there!
That way we can have a faster chat about it and I can gather log files and such. :)
