Which process is using this GPU usage?
OVR Toolkit Settings.exe? Or OVR Toolkit.exe?
Maybe it's because I have Quest 3?
Again, without OVR Toolkit even HL Alyx works fine. But after starting OVR Toolkit performance drops and even after closing it does not resume, you need to restart Steam VR as a whole. I disabled supersampling, it didn't help.
On a 3070 you only have 8GB of VRAM i think?
This is usable, but note that SteamVR at idle can be using 3GB, then add the Oculus software, then add the game on top!
What typically happens is OVR Toolkit starts fighting for VRAM with other applications.
I'd check the 'Dedicated GPU Memory' tab in Task Manager before and after launching OVR Toolkit and see if the difference is large.
Under normal circumstances, OVR Toolkit should be using about 400MB of VRAM, depending on number of monitors connected and their resolution. :)
