Make sure the setting to display this is active in OVR Toolkit as it is off by default on a fresh install.
Also make sure OSC is enabled in the VRChat radial menu, you may need to rejoin the world after enabling this!
Have you changed the port OSC is using maybe? VRChat uses port 9000 by default.
Maybe see if you can find another application using the chatbox to confirm it's working!
How would I go about that? If you don't mind me asking, it's something I'm not familiar/had to do before.
Then there's a good shot that it's the default still if you don't know how to change it, should be fine!
In that case, maybe try the last option? See if there's another application you can find which sends data to the Chatbox, see if that works. This will test if the Chatbox is getting input or not.
OVR Toolkit should send out the new song title providing the wristwatch shows the song as actively playing, not paused. :)
Hey there! Just to check, you've tried the above advise too? Checking OSC is enabled in VRChat?
It could well be that something else is using port 9000 already.
So it seems that it could be EA's new desktop app EA Play ( that replaced Origin) to be the problem as it listens on port 9000. Not sure if I can change that, any possible advice?
You can change the port VRChat is using and the one OVR Toolkit is using!
For VRChat, AppData\LocalLow\VRChat\VRChat. There's a config json file here in here which states the OSC port apparently.
For OVR Toolkit, AppData\LocalLow\Curtis English\OVR Toolkit\config.json. This has an entry for the OSC port as well. :)
Unfortunately no dice, I will continue to experiment but changing the ports didnt seem to have any effect... I'm really unsure of what else to do :/
Do you see other OSC input from OVR Toolkit?
If you look in the 'OSC Debug' panel in VRChat, this is near the OSC enable button in the radial menu, this should contain inputs from OVR Toolkit such as 'ToggleWindows' and 'overlayCount'.
Hmmm, this could be an issue on VRChat's side I'm afraid. I'm not totally sure how to help with that. Maybe the VRChat Discord would be able to help? Or if you'd like, join the OVR Toolkit Discord and see if someone in there can help out!
I only know the OVR Toolkit side, some others know a lot more about the VRChat side. :)
Thank you for all your time and support, I'd like to join the OVR discord and see from there if someone can assist me.
