VIVE Wireless temperatures??
I was using this earlier and now came back after quite a pause from VR:
But now I can't find the VIVE Wireless adaptor temperatures anymore.
How do I get those in the curtrent version?

The Vive Wireless logs don't output the temperatures anymore I believe, and on top of that, it was very rarely used. It's not really useful information to know either as the Vive Wireless just dies at any temperature anyway unfortunately! :o

Hmm. OK.
It was helpful for me at first. So I knew why my VIVE kept shutting down...
Now I have modded my wireless adaptor with a 40mm fan, plugged to the extra USB port of the Vive.
So temperature is a non-issue now.
But I wanted to check ich everything is alright after not using that thing for months.
Thx anyway.

I bought a USB fan, yes. Because VIVE HMD (Classic) has a free USB port.
Model is:
ELUTENG 40mm USB fan 5V.
It has 3.5/3.88/4.4 CFM; Speed: 4000/4600/5300 RPM. 23 dB.
But any similar model will do. There are many similar ones on eBay or Amazon.
The battery life impact is not noticable for me.

It has a 3 level voltage switch integrated in the chord to reduce speed (I use the lowest setting) and mounted it with pretty thick, thermo-resistant double-sided 3M tape directly over the air slits of the wireless adaptor, so it sucks the hot air out.
I just cut the tape, so it only attaches to the corners and edges of the fan,
but it still sticks for many months now. (just don't stress it mechanically)
I didn't want to make it "permanent". Just in case I need to replace the fan or whatever.

The fan is kinda noticable when wearing the HMD (it's basically mounted to your head after all) and when there is no other game sound.
But it's no problem, as soon as you have sound.
Temps dropped from up to > 80 °C to < 50°C with that and the WiFi adapter never dropped out ever sice.
So I'm happy with that solution.
If just the stock device would have better cooling for that crazy amount of money...
