OVRToolkit lets you capture mutilple windows at once and even desktop. Even has hotkeys to quickly change between windows. You can adjust the windows while in VR because you grab and move them. It even has a keyboard you can use so you don't have to take your headset off to type. It also has a wrist watch which tells you the date and time and also the battery life of your controllers and trackers (doesn't tell you the life of your Oculus controllers). Here is a video of a pre-released version: https://youtu.be/n0LWKJaiK1s more features have been added since but it'll give you a good comparison to my OVRDrop video.
Overall OVRDrop is a good application. I used it for a long time. It is just very limited. This has so many more features and you can do everything in VR which in my opinion makes it so much better.
Toolkit you can also mirror desktop and have as many windows you want. Granted the more you will have the more of a performance hit so you probably don't want 20 windows up. And with this you can hide windows by not having them pinned so they only show up in edit mode. So the toolkit is more like a dashboard in that sense.
This is just from reading some descriptions and watching some videos. Sorry I don't have experience. I'm almost tempted to get it just so I can do an accurate comparison so I can know how well it may work rather than just comparing features.
Yeah, that's why I asked. Apparently DailyVR has a demo mode (no idea about limitations, but still), we should go try it. Devs seems nice too, so it maybe worth the price of admission. Let's go try demo.
Yep, OVR Toolkit can do that. Note that it doesn't currently have an integrated Twitch chat though, you'll need to capture a browser's pop out Twitch chat window!
Integrated Twitch chat is still work in progress but hopefully coming soon, within a few weeks. :)
Thank you!
