OVRDrop only lets you capture one window at a time. To move the position and rotation of a window you have to adjust sliders on your desktop. And it works good for what it does. I used it for a long time monitoring twitch chat, discord. There are ways you can adjust the bounds to get a second window in but you can only interact with the one you selected. Here is a video of me using OVRDrop about a minute in you will see me flip my hand over to look at chat. http://www.twitch.tv/constapatience/v/409209718?sr=a&t=44s

OVRToolkit lets you capture mutilple windows at once and even desktop. Even has hotkeys to quickly change between windows. You can adjust the windows while in VR because you grab and move them. It even has a keyboard you can use so you don't have to take your headset off to type. It also has a wrist watch which tells you the date and time and also the battery life of your controllers and trackers (doesn't tell you the life of your Oculus controllers). Here is a video of a pre-released version: https://youtu.be/n0LWKJaiK1s more features have been added since but it'll give you a good comparison to my OVRDrop video.

Overall OVRDrop is a good application. I used it for a long time. It is just very limited. This has so many more features and you can do everything in VR which in my opinion makes it so much better.

OK I get it now, ovr toolkit is more up-to-date feature wise and is more "in vr" oriented without the need to go on you desktop. You sold me on it thank you ;)
Now what about DailyVR? That app is very robust, I heard. Can anyone compare it to OVR Toolkit?

I've never heard of DailyVR until just now. But from looking at videos. It looks like DailyVR is only limited to windows and only 5 max. Also it may seem the windows are always visible like OVRDrop. It does have a feature the toolkit doesn't and apparently you can link your Android phone to it so you can get notifications on game.

Toolkit you can also mirror desktop and have as many windows you want. Granted the more you will have the more of a performance hit so you probably don't want 20 windows up. And with this you can hide windows by not having them pinned so they only show up in edit mode. So the toolkit is more like a dashboard in that sense.

This is just from reading some descriptions and watching some videos. Sorry I don't have experience. I'm almost tempted to get it just so I can do an accurate comparison so I can know how well it may work rather than just comparing features.

Yeah, that's why I asked. Apparently DailyVR has a demo mode (no idea about limitations, but still), we should go try it. Devs seems nice too, so it maybe worth the price of admission. Let's go try demo.

So if i was to get OVR Toolkit instead of OVR Drop, i can still do the same this as OVRdrop does? Which is let me look at twitch chat while streaming?

Yep, OVR Toolkit can do that. Note that it doesn't currently have an integrated Twitch chat though, you'll need to capture a browser's pop out Twitch chat window!

Integrated Twitch chat is still work in progress but hopefully coming soon, within a few weeks. :)
