Earth From Another Sun

Using 10minutemail.com, I made an account.
So that's an option if you want to use it.

True, that is a solution, throwaway emails do work, just be careful and not download anything

Is it possible to remove the requirement that you use your real email on the google form?

Since its got dev approval as a workaround, I'll chime in and say temp-mail.org works as well. In the devs defense, I can see an email being the least intrusive method for a backend for crossplay beyond a single platform, in this case steam, but I would still like to see the option to play with a local, offline "account", especially since the store page advertises single player. Ideally with an offline lan play option for the coop. This would guarantee the game still works in the face of internet outage or the servers going down, which with the current global situation is becoming more of a consideration.

That kind of reassurance, knowing that my spent money could not suddenly become worthless if the company went under, or the servers were to become unreachable for whatever reason, would earn an instabuy from me on the full product. From a consumer perspective, tying the game even running to an auth server that will eventually go offline makes it a rental at best.
There are parts of the game which can be considered single player

Space : Online
Planets : Online
Battles : Singleplayer or You can invite people to your battle but it can be played solely and it is singleplayer.

I've requested to Steam that users can allow to connect third parties, so that we can also track games with the developers. 2K, Uplay, EA Games to name a few. it's not like it's a new thing to create accounts with the developers. Google for instance allows developers access to private info all the time, and the permissions for some apps can't be given to stop access of ad's or networks. So, not sure what's the issue is here. Steam even allows for cloud sync when it's supported. how does that matter if anyone uses a temp email? using a VPN, and a temp email poses a pretty unique problem. it won't be possible to take part in campaigns that bring rewards and honour players.

Agree! I don't know why ppl have issues with registering with 3rd parties like game developers. A better solution would be like apply for a gmail for some uses only, leaving your primary personal email clean and private.
