Open composite did have an update just before this bugsplat error occurred so i wonder if that has something to do with it?
Ive even tried getting rid of open composite completely and using the openvr_api.dll instead but that gives me the same bugsplat error.
Is it possible to use an older version of the openvr_api.dll file that wouldn't have been affected by the update?
It started with an opencomposite update a week ago or so.
Is there any way to install an older Opencomposite version?

But give me some days and I might be desperate enough.
I tried SteamVR but the performance is soooo bad :-(
I will tell you that I had the same symptoms and replaced it with the previous version 1.0.1198 openvr_api.dll that I mentioned above and it is working fine now.
Scroll to very bottom here and download x64/openvr_api.dll - https://opencomposite.znix.xyz/builds/view_build?commit=43e551a4506880ab1a71b8b9fec2fd7fbb27372f
Then download the latest opencomposte launcher here and start it up - https://gitlab.com/znixian/OpenOVR
Then go into the open composite folder, runtime, bin, delete vrclinet_x64.dll and paste the x64/openvr_api.dll that you just downloaded.
The rename it vrclient_x64.dll
Make sure opencomposite is set to open XR, and load the game from steam as normal!
I saw that the error has been logged on github opencomposite so fingers crossed!
thx mate you are the hero it works yet
