Also without knowing your HMD it is complicated but for 600 euros I would go 4070 which can be found @600, nvidia is better for VR and you'll get a bif perf upgrade..

I also believe this is because most developers are still not really catering for VR & even Triple screen. I will say AMS2 is better than most in VR

Your CPU will be an issue for shadows and polygonal complexity (mostly pit crew, track details, car details) but also for shadows.
Everything else (resolution, AA, filtering, and other quality settings) will be more GPU related.
What is your headset?
